This issue spotlights Kinexions – Kinaxis’s supply chain event. The North America conference took place in the beginning of June in Las Vegas, and the SupplyChain Strategy team was there to absorb all the fantastic energy and innovative ideas.

The theme of Kinexions this year is ‘decisions to outcomes at agentic speed’. In our packed event recap, we dig into how supply chain leaders are creating change at scale, what ‘the new normal’ looks like for all of us, as well as the opportunities available and what the future will look like. We also spoke to several experts to get their perspectives on the event and the supply chain landscape.

“I’ve attended every single Kinexions since  joining the company, so it’s become a  milestone event in the year for me,” says Andrew Bell, Chief Product Officer at Kinaxis. “What I love about it is that it’s an opportunity to unveil all of the work we’ve been doing over the previous months and, in some cases, years. What’s also amazing is seeing how much the event has grown. It’s a reflection of the impact we’re having within supply chains and the increasing interest in what we’re doing. It’s definitely something I look forward to every year.”

As part of the Kinexions special, we also cover two important Kinaxis partnerships: Cardinal Health and Qualcomm. We spoke to Peter Bennett, Senior VP of Global Supply Chain at Cardinal Health and Mark Morgan, President of Global Commercial Operations at Kinaxis to talk about advanced scenario planning, AI, and digital workers, and how they have helped Cardinal Health become more proactive. Brent Wilson, SVP Global Supply Chain Operations at Qualcomm, then discussed the future of supply chain, and why AI adoption is key to making it work.

Besides the Kinexions deep-dive, this issue will also cover the most recent Exiger Executive Forum from July’s eventHuman rights in the supply chain: From obligation to operational discipline – and all the lessons we learned from that. “Human rights risk in global supply chains can no longer be treated as an annual disclosure exercise or reputation issue measured at arm’s length,” said Matthew Heibel from the Aspen Institute Central Europe, who moderated the event. “It is becoming a live operational, legal, strategic exposure. It is about customs clearance, market access, investor confidence, customer trust, regulatory scrutiny and executive accountability.”

Rounding off issue 13, we have three expert pieces discussing successful agentic AI deployment, geopolitics redrawing the supply chain, and human rights reform in the UK. And finally, as always, we close with a look ahead at our picks for upcoming supply chain events.
